Bad Weather Policy

At Panorama Home Photography, I strive to provide the best possible service while accommodating weather-related challenges. Below is my official Bad Weather Policy to ensure clarity and fairness for all clients.

1. Weather Conditions That May Affect Shoots

Bad weather includes, but is not limited to:

  • Heavy rain
  • Snow
  • Extreme wind
  • Poor visibility (fog, haze)
  • Any condition that prevents safe travel or operation of a drone

Bad Weather Policy

2. Impact on Services & Rescheduling Options

  • Drone Services: If any precipitation or high winds are present, I cannot fly the drone. The client has two options:

    1. Reschedule the entire photoshoot (no fee)
    2. Proceed with interior/exterior photography as planned and reschedule only the drone portion ($50 reschedule fee applies)
  • Interior & Exterior Photography: The client may choose to proceed with the shoot in any weather. However, if conditions impact safety (either in transit or at the property), I have the sole discretion to cancel and reschedule at no cost.

  • Blue Sky Guarantee: I will always replace skies to ensure blue skies, but clients should note that rain or snow on the property itself cannot be removed in post-processing. It is up to the client whether to reschedule to ensure a clear property.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Rescheduling or Cancelling at Least 2 Hours in Advance: No fees will be charged.
  • Canceling or Rescheduling Less Than 2 Hours Before the Appointment: A $50 fee applies unless the entire shoot is rescheduled due to bad weather.
  • Rescheduling Drone Photography Only (When the Rest of the Shoot Occurs as Scheduled): A $50 fee applies, as I will need to return to the property.
  • Rescheduling Due to My Discretion (for Safety Reasons): No fees will be incurred.

4. Communication & Timing

  • I will do my best to reach out if I anticipate bad weather, but it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to reschedule if they are concerned about conditions.
  • Rescheduling or cancellation must be communicated at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled shoot.
  • Clients can reach me via phone, text, or email for cancellations and reschedules.

5. Additional Considerations

  • If weather worsens during a shoot, the client may choose to reschedule part of the shoot, but a $50 fee will apply for my return trip.
  • Seasonal changes do not impact this policy—the same guidelines apply year-round.
  • If a travel fee was applied to the original booking, it will also apply to any rescheduled appointment in addition to the $50 reschedule fee.

“Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.”
