Home Preparation Tips
1. Declutter and Depersonalize
- Clear Surfaces: Remove excess items from countertops, shelves, and tables. Less is more!
- Depersonalize: Take down personal photos, keepsakes, and any personal items. Buyers should be able to envision themselves in the space.
- Organize Closets and Cabinets: Buyers often look in storage spaces, so make sure they look spacious and organized.
2. Clean Every Corner
- Deep Clean: Vacuum, mop, and dust all surfaces. A clean home looks well-maintained and appealing.
- Windows and Mirrors: Clean windows allow for more natural light and clearer views.
- Focus on Key Areas: Pay special attention to kitchens and bathrooms—these rooms should sparkle!
3. Maximize Curb Appeal
- Tidy the Yard: Mow the lawn, trim bushes, and clear away any debris.
- Clean the Entryway: Sweep the porch, clean the front door, and make sure house numbers are visible and attractive.
- Add Some Greenery: A few potted plants or flowers at the entrance can add a welcoming touch.
